To strengthen their successful partnership NEC Computers and Oxygen are increasing the Oxygen 3 solution range

Acknowledging the increasing number of hardware theft in companies today, NEC Computers offers efficient insurance protection to its customers with the comprehensive Oxygen 3 range.

Building on the success of this 100% security partnership, NEC offers this solution globally. The 3-year insurance package, already existing in French and English versions, is now available internationally with Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and German versions of the packs. After initially concentrating on Southern and Eastern Europe, NEC Computers now plan to extend their sales to the Middle East before embracing a wider market.


Thanks to its association with major global insurance groups, Oxygen includes insurance which, under the terms of the NEC Oxygen 3 solution, reimburses the new value of the equipment* to the company in the event of theft. Previously only available in the 3-year pack, the solution now offers 1-year and 2-year versions thereby better meeting the insurance requirements of all NEC Computers’ customers.


The Oxygen Puissance 3 solution offers 3 levels of protection


Presented in the form of a pack (comprising an instruction manual, an installation CD, a marking label and a tube of extra strong adhesive):


o International theft insurance: Oxygen 3 reimburses the new value of the equipment in the event of theft. This reimbursement allows the company to ensure that equipment is replaced rapidly without significantly interrupting business - No excess, no obsolescence clause. Oxygen has combined forces with AGF to also include, three-year coverage which reimburses the new value of the equipment to the company in the event of theft (1st and 2nd year = 100 % and 3rd year = 50%).


o A Stoptrack anti-theft sticker: Oxygen 3 uses an exclusive patented marking technique. Once fixed on the machine, this marking withstands 400kg of traction and ensures immediate identification (often dissuasive). If removed, the wording “stolen equipment” and a unique equipment identification number appear in indelible ink, thereby making it impossible to sell the stolen product. The marking bearing a unique identification number must be glued directly onto the laptop. If the laptop is found, the product may be returned to the company easily using a freephone telephone number and the identification number.


o Webtracking software: in the event of theft, tracking software traces the equipment via Internet by identifying it each time it connects. The laptop is immediately located with the help of the international search system and in collaboration with police authorities. The CD supplied in the pack allows the machine to be registered in Oxygen’s data base.


An important part of the UltraCare offer


As an integral part of the NEC UltraCare solutions range, Oxygen 3 is available throughout the manufacturer’s dealership. It is proposed alone as insurance coverage of 1, 2 or 3 years or included in a comprehensive solution against theft and accidental damage in association with a damage protection clause and an extension of the NEC UltraCare warranty.


Valid on all equipment brands, Oxygen 3 has continually progressed since the beginning of the partnership between Oxygen and NEC Computers. Faced with an increasing number of equipment thefts in companies, the growth in demand for anti-theft devices are increasing.
