NEC ANNOUNCES THE INTRODUCTION OF THE I-SELECT T-SERIES A NEW RANGE OF PERFORMANCE WORKSTATIONS

The NEC i-Select TW100 workstation will use the latest NVIDIA nForce4 technology coupled with AMD Athlon™ 64 Socket 939 processors for high
power computing.

NEC announces its entry into the workstation market through the introduction of a new range of performance workstations – the i-Select T-Series – designed to offer both the highest levels of performance and features in the demanding workstation market.
The NEC i-Select TW100 will employ the NVIDIA nForce4 Ultra chipset technology for AMD Sempron™ through to Athlon™ 64 FX processor-based power computing.

By choosing the NVIDIA nForce4 Ultra chipset, the NEC i-Select T-Series will be able to take full advantage of a multitude of next generation hardware enhancements:

Advanced Security through hardware enabled firewall protection

Advanced Networking through hardware enabled TCP/IP offloading

Advanced Storage through onboard 4-channel SATA 2 (300MB/s) with RAID

Advanced Graphics through PCI-Express X16 high Performance Graphics cards

In addition, the NEC i-Select TW100 will offer a choice of Fixed or HotSwap storage, and either
Ultra320 SCSI or SATA-2 disk drive support.
NEC sees the introduction of the i-Select T-Series as a big step forward in taking an important foothold in the European and International workstation segment.
