On 12 march 2024 D.A.Tsenov Academy of Economics, Svishtov, expanded its partnership network with leading technological business organizations. A bilateral agreement for cooperation was entered with Kontrax, and signed by prof.dr. Mariyana Bozhinova, Principal of the university, and Mr. Yordan Yordanov, chairman of the Board of Management of Kontrax.
The subject of the contract is the preparation of common projects and their subsequent fulfilment, organization of lectures, workshops, conferences, consultations, research activities. Internship programs are plans for the students from the Academy of Economics, and participation of experts and employees of Kontrax in the training programs for master and Ph.D. degrees in D.A. Tsenov Academy of Economics.
The first activity under the signed framework agreement for cooperation was a donation of a server and five workstations (all-in-one type) for the amount of 32 thousand BGN. The graphic system of the server is suitable for activities that require high computing power, such as processing and analysis of huge data, training and use of language models, etc. This will contribute to the expanding and improving the research portfolio of the Academy of Economics.
The donated server was located in the newly established Smart Centre for Research and Innovations. Among the official guests at the opening were ass,prof.dr. Iskra Panteleeva and ass.prof. Rumen Erusalimov, deputy principals, Mr. Kiril Stoyanov, the director of ACC, and Katya Petkova, account manager at Kontrax and operative coordinator for the realization of the cooperation between the two organizations.
The common initiatives undertaken and planned by the two organizations confirm their commitment for the support of scientific research and innovations in Bulgaria, thus creating new chances for the development of the young talents and future leaders in the field of economics, technologies and innovations.
