On June 8, 2026, at Sofia Tech Park, during the Transform IT Awards \u201926 ceremony organized by Capital’s Digitalk, the project for implementing electronic shelf labels (ESL) across the stores of Doverie – Brico AD (Mr. Bricolage Bulgaria) was honored with a Special Jury Award. The award was presented to Aleksandar Kolchakov, Sales Director at Mr. Bricolage, recognizing the company’s vision and its courage to invest in digital transformation. For us at Kontrax, as the project integrator, this award is yet another benchmark of an excellently job done.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project involved the full digitalization of price management in two of the retail chain’s key stores, featuring over 100,000 items linked in real time directly to the SAP ERP system. The deployment took 35 calendar days and was carried out during the peak retail season without a single minute of disruption to the business workflow. Today, the system eliminates discrepancies between shelf prices and checkout prices, optimizes over 60 man-hours per month per store, and saves approximately one ton of paper and consumables every month. The project also prepared both stores of the DIY chain for the dual pricing display in Bulgarian lev (BGN) and Euro (EUR).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The history between the two companies began in 2018 with a conversation on a completely different topic that did not lead to a project at the time. However, mutual respect remained. Over the following years, communication continued\u2014smoothly, without sales pressure or corporate stiffness. By the time Mr. Bricolage launched its market research for an ESL solution, Kontrax had already accumulated substantial experience in this field. The convergence of the right technology, mutual trust between the partners, and the perfect timing led to a collaboration that from the very beginning operated with the clarity of a long-standing relationship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am one of those people who constantly love to fix things around the house. Until two years ago, I didn’t know what the subconscious reason was that made me prefer shopping at Mr. Bricolage. Now I know! The main question asked by Mr. Bricolage during the pre-sales phase and throughout the project was not how to optimize costs or reduce staff\u2014the main question was, ‘How can we make the customer experience better and more secure, especially during the transition to the Euro? How can we give our consultants more time to focus on our customers? How can we reduce the possibility of accidental pricing errors?’. It is a true pleasure to work with such a client\u2014a partner who understands the genuine added value of the solution. You probably won’t be surprised when I tell you that we are currently discussing expanding the project with new features that will make finding the right item in the store even easier, as well as introducing AI consultants,” said Ivaylo Jordanov, CEO of Kontrax JSC, during the award ceremony.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
